Pearl Ann Champ , age 69, of Arthur, WV, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Grant County Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. She was born on June 23, 1951, in Old Fields, WV, the daughter of the late Solomon and Laura (Lewis) Shockey. On May 26,1974, Pearl married Randall Blake Champ, who survives in Arthur.

Mrs. Champ was a 1970 graduate of Moorefield High School and she was a member of the Brick Church of the Brethren. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Pearl loved her church family and served on the nurture committee and the witness committee.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Champ is survived by: 2 sons, Shawn Champ (Jennifer) of Maysville, WV, Adam Champ of Maysville, WV; and a granddaughter, Allison Champ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Thomas "Tommy" and William "Bill" Shockey.

Mrs. Champ's family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2021, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Brick Church of the Brethren in Maysville, WV, with Randy Cosner officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Old Fields, WV. Memorials may be made to Brick Church of the Brethren.
