Philip Nathaniel Wright , age 65, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at his home. He was born on September 24, 1955, in Franklin, WV, the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Mae (Wright) Guy. Philip was formerly married to Gail Melissa (Moats) Wright of Franklin, WV.

Mr. Wright was a graduate of Franklin High School and a member of Entry Mountain AME Church. He had worked at Hanover Shoe Company and he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Philip is survived by: 2 daughters, Kanika Shipe (Greg) of Harrisonburg, VA, Dezira Varner (Mark) of Franklin, WV; a son, Zethan Wright (Josie) of Harrisonburg, VA; 2 brothers, Kevin Wright (Jeannette) of Franklin, WV, Sherman Elwood (Esther) of Franklin, WV; a half brother, Joe Madden of Harrisonburg, VA; a half sister, Diane Madden of Harrisonburg, VA; 7 grandchildren, Roman, Declan, Keionna, Alec, Madison, Zykijah, Zarian; 2 step grandchildren, Carolyn and Cash; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Guy.
