Raymond Kent Cooper , age 71, of Circleville, WV, formerly of Harman, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV. He was born on October 24, 1947, in Harman, WV, the son of the late Roosevelt and Lillian Gae (Wymer) Cooper.

Mr. Cooper attended Harman High School and had worked for Kermit Butcher Trucking, and Hinkle Trucking for 15 years, before his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Harman VFW Post #5781, Clarksburg Laborers Union #984, Thomas Fairfax Lodge #174 AF & AM, and Osiris Shrine. Kent was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army.

Mr. Cooper is survived by; 2 daughters, Glenda Kohlieber (Troy) of Alamogordo, NM, Julieanne Ketterman (Phillip) of Harman, WV; 4 sisters, Charlotte Vance (Tom) of Harman, WV, Linda Carter of Shepherdstown, WV, Delores Nicodemus of Charlestown, WV, Barbara Shiflette (Larry) of OH; a brother, Dwight Cooper of Harman, WV; a half sister, Wyoma Lee Helmick of Harrisonburg, VA; a half brother, Gary Cooper of Harman, WV; 2 grandchildren, Jase and Haylee Ketterman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother, Don Allen Cooper; and a half brother, Kenneth Clark Cooper.

Mr. Cooper's family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2019, 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Harman Church of the Brethren in Harman, WV. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor John R. Moyers officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Elkins VFW Post # 3647 and American Legion #29.
