Richard "Rick" Allen Hedrick, age 55, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his home after a brief illness.  He was born on October 4, 1968 in Petersburg, the son of the late Jimmie Darrel Hedrick and Barbara (Weatherholtz) Nesselrodte (Merl) of Petersburg, WV. On November 3, 1995, Rick married his wife of 28 years, Lori Ann (Hines) Hedrick, who survives in Petersburg.

Mr. Hedrick attended Petersburg High School, was a member of the Crossroads Community Church in Maysville, WV, and worked for the City of Petersburg until his illness.  Rick enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, and playing with his children and grandchildren.  He was a kind-hearted, loving, family man who made a lasting impression on everyone he met.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Rick is survived by: 2 daughters, Tiffany Stump (Jesse) of Fisher, WV; Chelsey Sites (Casey) of Petersburg, WV; a son, Dakota Hedrick (Shakyra) of Petersburg, WV; a sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Hedrick of Petersburg, WV; 3 brothers, William "Buddy" Hedrick (Brenda) of Baker, WV; James "Elwood" Hedrick (Karen Kay) of Lahmansville, WV; Darrell "DJ" Hedrick (Stephanie) of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren, Kage Stump; Trinity Stump; Jasin Brill; Gracelyn Sites; Hudson Sites; Hadleigh Brill;  and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. He is also survived by his work family including best friends, Terry George and Ismael Sanchez. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin "Marty" Hedrick.
