Richard Owen Beckwit h, age 71, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 26, 1951, the son of the late Robert and Carlene (Stone) Beckwith. In July of 1995, Richard married Marjorie Christine (Boley) Beckwith, who survives in Petersburg.

Mr. Beckwith attended school in Jefferson County and he was a member of the Petersburg Assembly of God Church and Jimmie Swaggart Ministires. He had worked at a steel mill in Pennsylvania and as a truck driver. Richard loved walking with his grandson and visiting Blackwater Falls with his famiy.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Beckwith leaves behind to cherish his memory: a son, Richard Beckwith of East Liverpool, OH; 2 grandsons, including a special grandson that he raised as a child, Dakota Boley of Petersburg, WV; 3 sisters, Joyce Beckwith of Baltimore, MD, Carla Crooms (George) of Salinesville, OH, Angela Lampkin of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Cornelius Beckwith of Salinesville, OH; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Robert and Jeffrey Beckwith; and a sister, Barbara Youngblood.
