Robert Mason Irving , age 77, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Washington, DC and of Riverton, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Embrace Hospice Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born on June 28, 1942, in Northwest, Washington, DC, the son of the late Albert Eugene and Mabel Chloe (Phares) Irving.

Mr. Irving retired in 2001, after 30 years in the Deli Department at Giant Foods.

Mr. Irving is survived by: 4 sons, Robert Mason Irving III (Barbara) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Timothy Ira Irving (Rebecca) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dale Irving (Brianna) of Chicago, IL, David Todd Irving of Chicago, IL; a brother, Alan Baxter Irving of Fredricksburg, VA; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother, Richard Harold Irving; and a sister, Carol Sue Requilman.

Mr. Irving's family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV.
