Robert Lee "Bob" Leeson , age 97, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 10, 1923, in Shinnston, WV, the son of the late Clarence N. and Laura Jane (Martin) Leeson. On August 31, 1946, Robert married Elizabeth Ann (Robinson) Leeson, who survives in Franklin, WV.

Mr. Leeson was a 1942 graduate of Shinnston High School and was a member of Christ Central Community Church, the American Legion Post #78, and Pendleton Lodge #144 AF & AM. He retired on January 1, 1985, as a WV Conservation Officer, after 27 years of service. Mr. Lesson was a US Navy Veteran.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Leeson is survived by: a sister, Merritt Saunders (Clarence Jr.) of Vienna, WV; by nieces and nephews, including his special caregivers, Cathy Robinson and Leeann Britton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother, John Leeson; and 2 sisters, Janice Robinson and Janet Statler.

Mr. Leeson's family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, 6-8 PM, at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Sam Harper officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin, WV.
