Robert Carl Sites , age 82, of Riverton, WV, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. He was born on August 6, 1937, at Seneca Rocks, WV, the son of the late Port and Margie (Long) Sites. Carl married Rose Ann (Cook) Sites, who survives at Riverton.

Mr. Sites was a 1956 graduate of Circleville High School and a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. He retired from Columbia Gas, after 30 years, and was a Veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Sites is survived by: 3 daughters, Shelby A. Kuh of Cabins, WV, Barbara L. Stickley (Brian) of Fisher, WV, Melissa D. Earle (Shannon) of Petersburg, WV; a son, Robert Carl "Bobby" Sites II (Kenya) of Moorefield, WV; a son-in-law, Brook Junior Hedrick of Petersburg, WV; 2 step sons, Duane Vance (Melinda) of Cabins, WV, Stacy Vance (Kristina) of Bedford, PA; 2 sisters, Patsy Thornton of Bluefield, WV, Thelma Walker of Petersburg, WV; 4 brothers, Paul Sites (Sally) of Martinsburg, WV, Dale Sites of Bayard, WV, Larry Sites (Susan) of Charleston, WV, Terry Sites (Dot) of Seneca Rocks, WV; 13 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 step great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Debora L. Hedrick; a brother, John William Sites; a sister Evelyn Sites; and a grandson, Christopher Brook Hedrick.

A graveside service will be on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV, with Pastor Matt Smith and Rev. Mark McAllister officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the US Army of Camp Dawson. Memorials may be made to Living Hope Baptist Church building fund or to donor's choice.
