Rodney Johnson , age 83, of Circleville, WV, formerly of Prince George Co., MD and Washington, DC, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Nella's Nursing Home in Elkins, WV. He was born on August 16, 1938, in Cherry Grove, WV, the son of the late Kermit and Lillian Catherine (Mick) Johnson. Rodney was married to June O'Brian Johnson, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Circleville High School and he attended Cherry Grove Baptist Church. He had worked for Railroad Express as a truck driver and also as a bank teller for Citizens National Bank in Prince George County, MD . Rodney retired as a carpenter and he was a Veteran of the US Army.

Mr. Johnson is surivived by: a niece, Dorothy Rohrer (James) of Waterfall, PA; 2 nephews, Roy Johnson (Kathy) of Circleville, WV and Terry Johnson (Terry) of Circleville, WV; an aunt, Olive Simmons of Cass, WV; 3 great-nephews, Justin, Daniel, and Nicholas Johnson; and a great-niece, Amanda Brubaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Johnson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin, WV, with Pastor Dan Arbogast officiating. Interment will follow, with Military Honors conducted by Camp Dawson. Memorials may be made to North Fork Rescue Squad.
