Rose Marie Robinson , age 70, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 25, 1954, in Harrinsoburg, Va, the daughter of the late Arvel Nester and Alma Virginia (Eckard) Nesselrodt. On November 6, 1992, Rose married the love of her life, Mark Robinson, who survives in Brandywine.
Rose was a 1971 graduate of Franklin High School and attended Fairmont State, obtained her BS Degree in Elementary Education from Shepherd University, and obtained her Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Marshall University. She was a member of the Potomac Highlands Shriners, Franklin OES #138, and Brandywine Christian Church, where she had served as a treasurer, trustee and deaconess.
Rose took pride in her career and worked as an educator in Pendleton County Schools until retiring in 2015. She taught at all five Pendleton County Elementary Schools. She coached cheerleading and volleyball at Brandywine Elementary.
In addition to her husband, Rose leaves behind to cherish her memory: a daughter, Elizabeth Renee Eagle of Houston, TX; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Lynn and Brooks Eliot Aaron Reid, Emmalee Rose Sargent; 2 sisters, Karen Ann Pszczolkowski (Michael) of Moundsville, WV, Melody Kay Hodgson (Donald) of Winchester, VA; 3 nieces, Brittany Yovonne Sampson, Kayla Dawn Hodgson, Katie Pszczolkowski; and a nephew, Jacob Hunter Hodgson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Rebecca and Jennifer Robinson.
Rose's family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Larry Danner officiating. Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com.
