Lover of nature, wildlife, friends, and family – Roy Benson Nowack died suddenly at his home in Franklin West Virginia on May 12, 2019. Also a longtime resident of Rochester New York, he was predeceased by his parents, Diane Benson Nowack and Earle Nowack. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Lila and Frank Nichols; nephew Toby Nichols; nephew and wife Jeff and Kathy Nichols, great-nephew Avery; life partner Richard Carl Wolf, and many friends from times and locations near and far.

Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin is serving the family. Plans are pending for a simple Remembrance Service at Roy's home in Franklin. Memorial donations are invited to the Nature Conservancy or Audubon Society.
