Ruth Kos , age 84, of Jordan Run, WV and having previously lived in Baltimore, MD for many years, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born on October 12, 1937, the daughter of the late Lawrence Stuckey and Florence (Benson) Stuckey. Ms. Kos was previously married to Joseph Kos, Jr. who survives in Maysville, WV.

Ms. Kos was a 1956 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School in Fairmont, WV. She was a retired truck dispatcher for Montgomery Ward Department Stores in Baltimore, MD. Ruth will be fondly remembered as a thoughtful and caring person, always willing to help a friend in need. She enjoyed making quilts, sewing, and crafts.

Ms. Kos is survived by 3 daughters; Phyllis Griffen of Reisterstown, MD, Kimberly Fretwell and husband, William Mickley, of White Marsh, MD, and Shawn Quinet of Jordan Run; one sister, Helen Haught of Fairmont, WV; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Jamie Arthur, Erik Knot, and Brandon and Madison Quinet; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Delores Keplinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
