Obituary

Samuel Lee "Sammy" Kuh, age 67, of Seneca Rocks, WV passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home following a brave battle with cancer.  Sammy was born on April 18, 1958 in San Diego, CA, the son of the late Donald McNeill Kuh and Mary Frances (Hoover) Alt.

Mr. Kuh graduated from Keyser High School in 1976 and enlisted in the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Bliss, TX as a tank mechanic.  After his service in the military, Sammy moved back to West Virginia, working for WV Paving, Beans Limestone, and currently at Hinkle Trucking until his recent illness.   He was a former member of the FFA and attended the Mineral County Technical Center in Keyser WV.  Sammy was a generous man who used his time and talents to help anyone in need.  He loved life and took advantage of the great hunting and fishing our area has to offer.  He was also talented in the kitchen, often cooking and smoking meats for his family and friends to enjoy.  Sammy will be missed by all, especially his fur baby "Baby", and leaves behind a legacy of generosity and kindness to all who knew and loved him.

Sammy is survived by: a daughter, Jennifer Lee Kuh of Cabins, WV; 2 sons, Samuel Lee Kuh II  (Sarah) of Petersburg, WV; Leroy D. Kuh (Kelly) of Fisher, WV; 3 sisters, Connie Hoalcraft of Swanton, MD; Robin Kuh of Petersburg, WV; Karen Peterson (Bob) of New Creek, WV; 2 brothers, Fred Kuh (Nellie) of Burlington, WV; Pee Wee Kuh (Wanda) of Scherr, WV;  4 Grandchildren, William Lee; Kenedy Faith; Leland Sam; and Seneca Rhea Kuh.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Alt.
