Samuel James MacMichael , age 81, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. He was born on January 16, 1942, in Camden, NJ, the son of the late Samuel and Santa R. MacMichael.

Sam attended Woodbury Heights High School in New Jersey and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. He owned and operated MacMichael Septic Service for more than 30 years. He had also worked as a heavy equipment operator. Sam loved the outdoors and making new friends.

Sam leaves behind to cherish his memory: 1 brother, Roger MacMichael of Woodbury Heights, NJ; and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack MacMichael.

Funeral services for Sam will be on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM, with visitation 1 hour prior, in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV, with Harold Mullenax officiating.
