Shirley Virginia Dove , age 88, formerly of Horse Ridge Road, Riverton, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Pendleton Manor where she has resided for the last 9 years. She was born on August 22, 1933, in Circleville, WV, the daughter of the late Earl "Doc" and Christina "Tina" (Warner) Nelson. Shirley married Bond Dove, who preceded her in death on May 18, 2007.

Mrs. Dove attended Circleville High School and was a member of the Riverton United Methodist Church. She had worked at Greer (Germany Valley Limestone) and she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Dove is survived: 2 daughters, Lucinda Snyder of Riverton, WV, Jenny Dove of Inwood, WV; 3 sons, Allen Dove (Eileen) of Franklin, WV, Lee Dove of Riverton, WV, William Dove (Carrie) of Riverton, WV; 3 sisters, Dot Bennett of Circleville, WV, Lois Hedrick (John) of Riverton, WV, Sue Moyers of Criders, VA; and a grandchild, Madison Dove. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a son, Bond Dove, Jr.; a daughter, Betty Crigler; and 2 brothers, Bardon "Bink" and Delton Nelson.

Mrs. Dove's family will receive friends on Sunday, November 28, 2021, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Cindy Skinner officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
