Simone Mary Marguerite Hedrick , age 83 of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 in Petersburg. She was born in Nancy, France on July 23, 1935, the daughter of the late Lucien Georges Aime Denny and Marthe Suzanne Clerc. On August 5, 1961 she married her loving husband of 50 years, Stern Edwin Hedrick, who preceded her death on January 10, 2012.

Mrs. Hedrick retired from Pilgrims Pride in Moorefield, WV and attended the Memorial Church of the Brethren in Petersburg. After her retirement she enjoyed going back to France to be with family. Simone loved going to the Petersburg Senior Center Commision on Aging where she never missed a meal and enjoyed the fellowship with her friends that also attended.

Mrs. Hedrick is survived by: 1 son, William Hedrick and wife, Patty, of Petersburg; 3 grandchildren, Justin Hedrick, Victoria Goldizen and husband, Cody, and Shannon Jacuzzi; and 3 great-grandchildren. Simone came from a large family in France where some of her siblings and many nieces, nephews, and cousins still reside.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillipe Jacuzzi and a granddaughter Rhonda Jacuzzi.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Per Mrs. Hedrick's request her body will be cremated following her viewing with inurnment of ashes at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV.
