Stacey James Dayton, age 57, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.  He was born on June 18, 1968 in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Jim Dayton and Juanita (Dolly) Lloyd.   In addition to his parents, Stacey was preceded in death by a son, Davin Dayton.

Stacey is survived by his wife of 35 years, Beth (Harris) Dayton; 2 sons, Dustin Dayton (Crystal) of Scherr, WV; Dylan Dayton (Carrie) of Cabins, WV; 7 grandchildren, Wyatt, Ryleigh, Kaylee, and Wrenly Dayton; Alyc and Alye Ray;  Peyton Shillingburg; a step-father, Frank Lloyd of Petersburg; 2 brothers, Tim Dayton (Jenny); Trent Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stacey was a 1986 graduate of Petersburg High School.  He was a self-employed carpenter by trade.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and spending time with his children and beloved grandchildren.
