January 10, 1941 – January 23, 2022
Sue Annette Sites, age 81, of Arthur, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend left this world to go home to her Heavenly Father on January 23, 2022 and made a way for family to follow. She was born in Scherr, WV on Jan. 10, 1941.
Mrs. Sites worked for Geico in Arlington VA and later for Harris Uptom in Washington, DC. In 1962, she and her husband Curtis Sites, whom she married on August 30, 1959, moved back home to Arthur, WV where she was a stay at home mother until around 1970. At this time, she became the Hot Lunch Manager at the Petersburg Grade School and later, in 1988, becoming the Grant County Schools Hot Lunch Supervisor where she retired from in 2000.
Mrs. Sites was a wonderful cook and great friend. She was caring, loving, and always put God and her family first. She loved her family, loved life, and her love for Christ always shined through. Sue was an avid member of Spirit of Life Church, where she and Curtis set the way. She taught many how to be more like Christ and how to live and love the life you're given.
Sue was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Curtis Lee Sites of Arthur, WV; 3 sons, Jeffrey Sites of Arthur, WV; Rodney Sites of Maysville, WV; Jason Sites and wife Tonya of Maysville, WV; 3 grandchildren, Tina Stump, Ethan Sites, and Christian Miller; 1 niece, Susan George; and many beloved friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Orville Wolfe and Enda (Rohrbaugh) Wolfe; one brother, William "Billy" Wolfe; one sister, Betty Lee Oats; and one infant grandson, Coty Lee Sites.
Mrs. Site's family will receive friends 3-5PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 5:00PM with Pastor Brian Hipp officiating. Mrs. Sites' body will then be cremated with inurnment in the Maysville Cemetery at a later date.
