Susan Waddell Vickers, age 62, of Beverly, WV, formerly of Bartow, WV, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at her home in Beverly. She was born on July 29, 1959, in Bartow, WV, the daughter of Violet "Bill" (Thompson) Waddell of Elkins, WV and the late Orville "Buddy" Waddell. Susan married David Vickers, who preceded her in death on July 17, 2016.

Ms. Vickers attended Pocahontas County Schools and was a Christian by faith. She had worked at Station 2 Restaurant as a cook and she loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her mother, Susan leaves behind to cherish her memories: a daughter, Cinda Renee Cassell of Beverly, WV; a son, David Kent Vickers of Durbin, WV; 2 sisters, Daisy Bacorn of Durbin, WV, Charlotte Spring of Elkins, WV; a brother, Jarvie "Snuts" Waddell (Pat) of Brandywine, WV; 3 grandchildren, Zachery Cassell, Hannah Vickers, and Michael White. In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by: a son, Jedediah Leslie Vickers; a grandson, Chaz Alex Cassell (9-4-13); a brother, Daniel Waddell; and a sister, Cathy Waddell.

Ms. Vickers' family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2021, 10-11 AM, at the Thornwood Community Church in Thornwood, WV. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Susie Lambert officiating. Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Job, WV, at 3:00 PM on Thursday.
