Terry Scott Hammer , age 62 of Maysville, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his home. He was born on February 12, 1956 in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of Shirley Bly (Taylor) Hammer of Franklin and the late Junius Clarence Hammer.

Terry was a 1974 graduate of Franklin High School and a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church. He was a retired independent truck driver and had worked for Mullenax Trucking, Hinkle Trucking and others.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Hammer is survived by: a son, Thomas Ryan Hammer and his fiance, Noell of Urbana, OH; 2 sisters, Sherry Wilfong and husband David of Sugar Grove, WV, Kitty Waggy and husband Curtis Jr. of Franklin; 2 brothers, JC Hammer and wife Betsy of Franklin, and Freddie Hammer of Shepherdstown, WV.

In honoring Terry's request, there will be no viewing or visitation. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin, with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
