Ruddle
March 17, 1953 – August 13, 2021
Terry Martin Ruddle, age 68, of Cherry Grove, WV, went to be with our Lord on Friday, August 13, 2021, at his home. He was born on March 17, 1953, in Arlington, VA, the son of the late Henry Ford and Glenna Marie (Judy) Ruddle. He was married to his former wife and mother of his children, Peggy Ann Bennett for 35 years, who survives.
Mr. Ruddle was a strong and hard working man. During his life, he had worked as a Police Officer in Fairfax County, VA. He had also worked for Daniel Construction on the Dam in Bath County, VA and at Interstate Hardwoods for nearly 30 years. In his inspirational life, he was an avid hunter and enjoyed admiring nature, watching western movies, spending time with friends and family, and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Terry was a generous man in his community, where he was a volunteer EMT for North Fork Rescue Squad and a Boy Scout leader.
In addition to his former wife, Mr. Ruddle is survived by: a daughter, Jessica Potter of Baton Rouge LA; a son, Zebulon Ruddle (Keristan) of Hendricks, WV; 3 sisters, Sandra Ruddle Heal (Tom) of Provo Valley, UT, Jane Ruddle (Mike Giles) of Circleville, WV, Pamela Moore of Mineral, VA; a brother, Paul Ruddle (Carmen) of Valdosta, GA; 3 grandchldren, Brooklyn, Tristan, and Ariella Ruddle; and several nieces and nephews that he loved very much and made an incredible impact on their lives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother-in-law, William Moore; 2 nephews, Richard Ryan and William Henry Moore.
Mr. Ruddle's family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2021, 6-8 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the church, with Bishop Kyle Apple officiating. Interment will be in the Ruddle Family Cemetery, Circleville, WV. Memorials may be made in memory of Terry to the family, c/o Basagic Funeral Home, POB 215, Frankln, WV 26807.
Mr. Ruddle's family would like to give a special thanks to all of Terry's caregivers and the amazing people that were involved in his life.
