Obituary

Thelma Louise Rohrbaugh , age 59, of Maysville, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born on September 11, 1961, in Ripley, WV, the daughter of the late Eugene Berg and the late Remonia (Blankenship) Berg Blizzard. On December 29, 1988, Thelma Married Billy D. Rohrbaugh, who survives in Maysville.

Mrs. Rohrbaugh was a 1978 graduate of Petersburg High School, where she had been inducted into the National Honor Society, and she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Shepherd University. She was a Christian by Faith and attended the Cornerstone Family Fellowship Church. Thelma was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, and foster parent for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family who will miss all of her amazing recipes.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rohrbaugh is survived by: 3 daughters, Laurie Rohrbaugh of Petersburg, WV, Lisa Wilson (Christopher) of Maysville, WV, Jennifer Barr (Carl) of Maysville, WV; 4 sisters, Verta Taylor (Clyde) of Maysvile, WV, Veeta Burgess (Daniel) of Arthur, WV, Lola Reel (Jim) of Petersburg, WV, Martha Ashley (Louis) of Jacksonville, FL; 3 brothers, Gene Berg (Linda) of Maysville, WV, Travis Berg (Eleanor) of Scherr, WV, Willis Berg (Misty) of Bunker Hill, WV; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Rohrbaugh.

Friends and family may pay their respects at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV, Monday, January 11, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV, with Pastor P.J. Landis officiating.
