Tracy Alva Ryder, age 56, of Upper Tract, WV, formerly of Thornwood, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV, after a battle with cancer. He was born on February 7, 1964, in Thornwood, WV, the son of Barbara "Bobby" Darlene (Lambert) Ryder of Thornwood, WV, and the late Alton James Ryder (July 16, 2001). On February 20, 1987, Tracy married Armeda Faye (Kimble) Ryder, who survives in Upper Tract, WV.

Tracy graduated from Pocahontas County High School. He had worked many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for William A. Hazel in Chantilly, VA, and as an OTR Truck Driver for various companies. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, digging ramps, riding four wheelers, playing cards (especially poker and rook), watching football, and fixing anything that was broken or didn't run. Most of all, he loved to take his dog "Molly" for rides.

In addition to his wife and mother, Tracy is survived by: 2 daughters, Jennifer Martin (Travis) of Upper Tract, WV, Selina Rudolph (Joe) of Winchester, VA; a sister, Ruby Warner of Circleville, WV; a brother, Rocky Ryder of Thornwood, WV; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins; a special buddy, Jacob Harman; and his furry friend Molly.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Bowers Cemetery on Jake Hill Road, Upper Tract, WV, with Pastor Rob Borror officiating.
