Victor Phillip Cain, age 63, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at his home following a long illness.  He was born on September 13, 1960, in Petersburg, WV, the son of Victor J Cain of Petersburg and the late Leona Mae (Hott) Cain.

Mr. Cain attended Petersburg High School and was a Christian by faith.  Victor was the owner and operator of Cain's Carpet and Flooring.  He was a former member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Dorcas Bow House.  In his spare time, Victor could be found on his mountain land where he enjoyed hunting and fishing or any spot the fish were biting.  He also had a talent for singing and dancing.

In addition to his father, Victor is survived by: 2 daughters, Nicole Cain of Fountain, WV; Jennifer Cain of Keyser, WV; 4 sisters, Shirley Cain Helmick of Cabins, WV; Anita Cain Haggerty (Danny) of Purgitsville, WV;  Karen Davidson Fertig of Keyser, WV; Bonnie Davidson Crites (Bubby) of Petersburg, WV; 3 brothers, Galen Cain (Sherry) of Maysville, WV; Wayne Davidson of Fort Ashby, WV; Keith Davidson (Donna) of Keyser, WV; 5 grandchildren, Sierra, Ava, Kyler, Asher, and Hayden.  He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Brock Huffman.

Victor's family will receive friends on Monday, April 29, 2024, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ted Anderson officiating.  Interment will be at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.  Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com or on Facebook at Basagic Funeral Home.
