Virginia Ann Kesner, age 65, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA .  She was born on May 7, 1957 in Washington D.C., the daughter of the late Walter Odies and Vera "Ditty" (Carlisle) Barnes.  Virginia married Ronald Edward Kesner on March 19, 2012, who preceded her in death on February 25, 2019. She was previously married to Robert J. Vance, who also preceded her in death.

Ms. Kesner attended schools in Prince George County and was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church.  Virginia was a homemaker and mother who enjoyed watching classic television shows like the Andy Griffith Show, Everybody Loves Raymond and crocheting.   She was a huge Elvis Presley fan who loved spending time entertaining friends and family.

Ms. Kesner is survived by: 2 sons, Billy Vance of Petersburg, WV; R.J Vance (Kristen) of Petersburg, WV; 2 sisters, Charlene "Chickie" Godish (Ed) of Petersburg, WV; Theresa Saunders (Robert) of Petersburg, WV; 1 brother, Walter J. Barnes (Sarah) of Moorefield, WV; 4 grandchildren, Hailey, Katrina, Austin, Jamie; 4 great-grandchildren, Riley, Braydon, Zoey, and Isaac.   She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Moore, Jr. and a sister, Darlene Sharon Rushing.

In honoring Virginia's wishes, her body has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Hillside Chapel in Petersburg, with Pastor Bobby Brown officiating.  Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
