Virginia Lee Phillips, age 93, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.  She was born on July 27, 1932 in Petersburg, the daughter of the late Homer Lee and Anna Laura Ardelia (Mongold) Swick.  Virginia was a proud wife of a military veteran, Pete Phillips, who preceded her in death.

Ms. Phillips graduated from Petersburg High School and was a loving homemaker to the family she and Pete created.  Virginia was a modest lady who enjoyed planting and meticulously caring for the flowers she grew. She loved her family dearly and appreciated every moment spent with them.

Virginia leaves behind to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Brenda Harlow of Petersburg, WV; Karen Lee Green (Daniel) of Gainesville, VA; Deborah Eskridge of Petersburg, WV; a son, Gregory Phillips of Nevada; 2 brothers, Roger Swick (Sharon) of Petersburg, WV; John Swick (Barbara) of Moorefield, WV; 8 Grandchildren; and 7 Great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jack, Jim, and Vernon "Bob" Swick; 5 sisters, Janet Williams; Rose Turner; Lucy Martin; Kathlene Romsburg;  and Helen Hartman.
