Virginia Ann Shadrick , age 84, of Petersburg and formerly of Maysville, WV passed away at Grant Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 31, 2025 in Petersburg.  She was born on January 1, 1941 in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late Posey Stewart and Janice (Walker) Stewart Pack.  On August 15, 1962, she married Chester Willis Shadrick Jr. who preceded her in death on November 26, 2015.

Mrs. Shadrick attended Oceana High School and later received her GED.  Virginia previously worked at the Windsor Knit Sewing Factory and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.  In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed sewing and crocheting but her greatest pleasure was loving and caring for her family, especially her grand babies.

Virginia is survived by: a daughter, Chris Keplinger (Mike) of Petersburg, WV; a sister, Lillian Lynch of Corpus Christi, TX; a brother, Jeffrey Stewart (Cindy) of Oceana, WV; 2 grandchildren, Patrick W. Casto; Tai Lynn Puffenbarger; 5 great-grandchildren , Treyvin Puffenbarger, Traysen, Tearyn, Toreyn, and Raycee Deavers; step-grandson, Hunter Keplinger; a sister-in-law, Karen Gramm (Philip) of Beckley, WV.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Wade Allen Shadrick and a sister, Katherine Stewart.
