"Buck" Huffman
January 9, 1949 – December 6, 2025
Ward Bradley "Buck" Huffman , age 76, of Riverton, WV passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. He was born on January 9, 1949 in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Ward and Betty (Haren) Huffman. On March 5, 1968 Buck married his loving wife, Vickie Lane (Warner) Huffman who survives in Riverton.
Mr. Huffman attended school at Seneca Rocks and was a Christian in faith. Upon his retirement from truck driving, Buck enjoyed spending time outdoors and hunting wild game. However, time spent with his family was his greatest pleasure. Buck leaves behind a legacy of love for family, friends and time spent out in God's creation.
In addition to his wife, Buck is survived by: a son, Jamie Huffman (Bethany) of Seneca Rocks, WV; a sister, Judi McCoy of New Creek, WV; 2 brothers, Dan Huffman (Liz) of Seneca Rocks, WV; Tom Huffman (Kathy) of Petersburg, WV; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Huffman (Kim Evick) of Circleville, WV; Adam Huffman of Seneca Rocks, WV; Taryn Hogbin (Zach) of Corners Road, WV; Lucas McCoy (Heather) of New Creek, WV; Austin Huffman of Seneca Rocks, WV; Ella Huffman of Maysville, WV; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Payten and Elizabeth Huffman; Dakota and Alayna Huffman; Avery and William Huffman; Alyssa and Kinsley McCoy; Everett and Elliot Hogbin; and Aurora Huffman. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frankie and Roger "Alan" Huffman; a grandson, James Lauson Huffman; and a brother-in-law, Tom McCoy.
Buck's family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, 5-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tom Shaum officiating. Interment will be at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV. Memorials may be made to the family, c/o the Basagic Funeral Home POB 400 Petersburg, WV 26847.
