Walter Edward "Eddie" Fay, age 77, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 following a brief illness. He was born on May 11, 1947, in Worcester, MA, the son of the late Harold and Blanche Katherine (Garrow) Fay. In 1974, he met his lovely wife, Patricia Elaine (Santos) Fay, who preceded him in death on April 29, 2024.
Mr. Fay attended school in Maine and later received his GED. Eddie was a former truck driver but was currently employed at Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield, WV in the Cook Plant. He was a member of the Pagans MC and former member of the First Baptist Church in Petersburg. He loved to ride motorcycles and was proud of his Indian heritage, often participating in cleansing rituals of the Native Americans. He was known as an all-around good guy who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Eddie is survived by: a daughter, Gina Fay of Chino, CA; 3 sisters, Arlene Orozko of Worcester, MA; Esther Merly (Jose) of Charlton, MA; Angie Hanley (Gary) of Shrewsbury, MA; 4 step-daughters, Lisa Marie Kramer (Fiancé Roger Anderson) of Franklin, WV; Sherri Ann Kivlehan of Maynard, MA; Deborah Kivlehan of Baker, WV; Tina Marie Fareas (Kenneth) of Rome, ME; 2 step-sons, Thomas Edward Kivlehan, Jr. of Front Royal, VA; Stephen Francis Kivlehan, of Petersburg, WV; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews including a special grandson and care giver, Ryan Barger (fiancée Donielle Fothergill) of Maysville, WV. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harold Fay; Stanley, and Wallace Gary; and a sister, Linda Robinson.
A Celebration of Life for Eddie will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, Petersburg, WV with Pastor Frank Ketterman officiating. Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com or on Facebook at Basagic Funeral Home.
