Wilda Grace Bennett , age 93, of Seneca Rocks, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at her home. She was born on October 19, 1926, in Cherry Grove, WV, the daughter of the late Troy and Elsie (Byrd) Lambert. Wilda married Eli Henry Bennett, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1974.

Wilda was a homemaker and loving Mother and Grandmother. She was a member of Brushy Run Mennonite Church.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by: 5 daughters, Francise Arbaugh (Gary) of Wardensville, WV, Rosalee Kimble (Vernon) of Linden, VA, Elaine Turner of Circleville, WV, Jacqueline Bennett of Seneca Rocks, WV, Rev. Rebecca Bennett (George) of Seneca Rocks, WV; 2 sons, David G. Bennett (Dona) of Seneca Rocks, WV, Teddy Lee Bennett of Cresaptown, MD; a sister, Etta Catherine Shifflet (Pete) of Millersville, MD; a brother, Forest Ray Lambert of Baker, WV; a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and 5 sisters.

Mrs. Bennett's family will receive friends on Monday, November 25, 2019, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastors Tom Shaum, Fred Miller, and John Swartz officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV. Memorials may be made to any Pendleton County Volunteer Rescue Squad or Seneca Rocks Volunteer Fire Company.
