Wilma Louise Boyette , age 84, left her earthly home on Monday, August 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 23, 1939, in Petersburg, WV, the daughter of the late Raymond and Leah (Dunkle) Cowger. Wilma married William Boyette, who preceded her in death on December 21, 2006.

Wilma was a graduate of Franklin High School and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Wilma loved applying her skills as a CNA by helping others as a home health care worker for Pendleton Senior and Family Services and Camelot Nursing Home.

Wilma took pride in her family and spent every free moment she had with her daughter Christina and her children. She enjoyed family gatherings, shopping trips, sleep overs and cuddling with her grandkids.

Wilma leaves behind to cherish her memory:  2 daughters, Christina Chan (Eugene) of Franklin, WV, and Diane Betler (Kevin) of Helvetia, WV; a sister, Nancy Nesselrodt; 5 grandchildren, Shawn (Brittnee), Amber, Chris, Charity, and Victoria Chan; 6 great-grandchildren, Mariah Crites, Eliza Myers, Felicity Chan, Everly Chan, Jordan Chan and Luca Chan; 2 nephews, Jay and Josh Nesselrodt; and a niece, Tansy Wetmore. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Gary Scott; and a nephew, John Nesselrodt.

In honoring Wilma's wishes, her body has been cremated. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024, 1-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Bishop Kyle Apple officiating.  Memorials may be made to Pendleton Senior and Family Services.
